DOWNING CHAIRS
This 'Classic Chair' range includes matching arm-chairs, side chairs and stacking chairs.
Since it was originally designed as a library reader's chair for Downing College, Cambridge in 1991, the design has been developed to include a stacking timber chair, ideal for dining halls.
Clients include: Wolfson, Emmanuel , St John's College, Newnham, Pembroke, and Gonville & Caius colleges (in Cambridge), and Christ Church, Merton, Trinity, University, St Hugh's, New colleges (in Oxford). It is also used as library chairs and stacking chairs at the Royal Geographical Society, London Library, and the National Gallery.
